In Babatunde Fowler words, “Basically we are discussing the 2016 budget. And within the budget, we have made a provision for recruitment of staff in terms of staff expansion; and in total we are expected to recruit about 1,250 job seekers for the FIRS Recruitment 2016 and the process will start once the budget has been duly signed and approved…”
He stressed the fact that less than ten percent (10%) of Nigerians are remitting when it comes to Value Added Tax (VAT), and that with the support of the Senate and the signing of the 2016 Budget, the target would be met, so to see the strength of the FIRS Recruitment 2016 and collect taxes as appropriate.
Babtunde Fowler also highlighted how paying of taxes is important to the government, because of its empowerment of the government for the provision of necessary services to the citizens as taxes form a major source of government’s revenue and that the Federal Inland Service Recruitment 2016 would see to it.
